The Colorado Department of Revenue is reminding state employers and payers to submit wage and income statements (W-2s and/or 1099s) containing Colorado tax withholding to the Colorado Department of Revenue before January 31, 2017, to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. According to the department, failure to submit this data in a timely manner will delay refunds for employees and/or recipients. The full text of the reminder is available at https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/tax/timely-topics. (Timely Topics, Colorado Department of Revenue, January 10, 2016.)
