About the presenters

 Jan Brinkhof

As a judge Jan already specialised in intellectual and industrial property law, focusing on patent law. As a lawyer Jan represents and assists clients in litigation and in international strategic planning and coordination. He is a successful litigator. He is also active as a part-time professor and as arbitrator in patent matters.

 Peter Burgers

Peter Burgers specialises in patent and technical know-how litigation with a focus on biotechnological inventions and technology joint ventures in an international setting. Peter studied molecular biology and law at the University of Amsterdam. He participates in the patent chapter of a well-known loose-leaf IP practitioner’s textbook.
 Brian Cordery

Brian specialises in intellectual property dispute resolution.  His practice is divided equally between patents and other intellectual property rights.

Brian is the co-author of an annual review of UK patent cases which is published annually in the CIPA Journal.  He lectures widely on all aspects of intellectual property law.

 Reinhardt Schuster

Reinhardt Schuster’s practice focuses on patent litigation in all technical fields. He represents international and German corporate clients in large scale patent infringement und nullity cases before all German courts. He is also active and experienced in a wide range of other IP matters and litigation, particularly utility models and design protection, know-how, product imitation and unfair competition law, licensing and IP-related contracts.
