Indiana announces changes to local income tax rates

The Indiana Department of Revenue has announced that DeKalb, Hancock, and Monroe counties have changed their county income tax rates, effective October 1, 2014, as follows: DeKalb County has increased the resident rate from 0.015 to 0.02 and the nonresident rate has decreased from 0.0075 to 0.005. Hancock County has increased the resident rate from 0.0165 to 0.017 and the nonresident rate from 0.0045 to 0.005. Monroe County has increased the resident rate from 0.0105 to 0.01095 and the nonresident rate from 0.002625 to 0.0027375. The notice is reproduced in this Report Letter on pages 14–15.
