IRS posts 403(b) Fix-It Guide to its website

The IRS has posted to its website a “403(b) Fix-It Guide” which helps 403(b) plan sponsors identify common errors and then provides guidance in how to fix the errors and how to avoid the errors. Some of the common mistakes include not adopting a written plan by December 31, 2009, not following the terms of the written plan, or not giving all of the employees a chance to make a salary deferral. The 403(b) Fix-It Guide is posted at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-tege/403(b)_fixit_guide.pdf.
