IRS requests comments on EFTPS

The IRS is soliciting comments concerning Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) and Forms 9779, Electronic Federal Tax Payment System Business Enrollment; 9783, Electronic Federal Tax Payment System Individual Enrollment; 9787, Business Confirmation/Update Form; and 9789, Individual Confirmation/Update Form. These forms are used by business and individual taxpayers to enroll in the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS). EFTPS is an electronic remittance processing system the Service uses to accept electronically transmitted federal tax payments.
Written comments should be received on or before June 4, 2018 to be assured of consideration, and should be directed to Laurie Brimmer, Internal Revenue Service, Room 6526, 1111 Constitution Avenue N.W., Washington, DC 20224. (Federal Register, April 4, 2018.)
