Montana amends wage and tax statement due dates

Montana legislation amends the due dates to file annual wage and tax statements and royalty and tax statements to align with the federal due dates. Applicable to tax years beginning after December 31, 2016, annual withholding statements will be due on or before January 31 instead of February 28. The remittance due dates for annual wage and tax statements and annual royalty and tax statements are also changed to on or before January 31 to match the federal dates. (H.B. 63, Laws 2017, effective February 17, 2017 and applicable as noted above.)
