North Carolina delays semiweekly withholding payment vouchers

The North Carolina Department of Revenue announced on its website http://www.dornc.com/headlines/2017/semiweeklywithholdingdelayed.html that mailing of semiweekly withholding tax payment vouchers, Form NC-5P, has been delayed for the second quarter of 2017. The vouchers should be mailed to taxpayers by April 1, 2017. The forms are normally mailed in mid-March. The payment date for tax withheld on April 1 through April 4, 2017 is April 7. Taxpayers who do not pay electronically and have not received their forms may remit the payment due by obtaining a personalized Form NC-5P from the department’s website, https://eservices.dor.nc.gov/vouchers/nc5p.jsp. A one-time electronic payment may be made by going to http://www.dornc.com/electronic/wh_tax.html. Taxpayers may also begin making all withholding tax filings electronically by registering with the department’s e-Business Center at http://www.dornc.com/electronic/business/index.html.

Taxpayers who elect to pay electronically will not receive future quarterly mailings of semiweekly withholding forms. (News, North Carolina Department of Revenue, March 21, 2016.)
