Ohio local tax rates: November election results

Discussed below are the uncertified results of the recent Ohio elections on city and school district income tax issues. The results below are the preliminary results. In cases where the results are very close, a recount is possible after the results are certified in the coming weeks. THESE RESULTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Ohio cities:

Ashtabula voters have passed the continuation of a 1.8% income tax. The total income tax rate will be 1.8%.

Baltic voters have passed an additional 0.5% income tax, beginning January 1, 2016. The total income tax rate will be 1.5%.

Celina voters have passed the repeal and replacement of the income tax for seven years. The total income tax rate is 1.5%, through December 31, 2022.

Cleveland Heights voters have passed an additional 0.25% income tax, beginning January 1, 2016. The total income tax rate will be 2.25%.

Fostoria voters have passed the renewal of a 1% income tax, beginning January 1, 2017. The total income tax rate will be 2%.

Lakeview voters have passed an additional 0.5% income tax, for 15 years. The total income tax rate will be 1.5%.

Lewisburg voters have passed an additional 0.25% income tax, beginning January 1, 2016. The total income tax rate will be 1.75%.

Salem voters have passed an additional 0.25% income tax, beginning January 1, 2016, for five years. The total income tax rate will be 1.25%.

Ohio school districts:

Antwerp LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax, effective January 1, 2016, for 5 years. The total tax rate will remain 1.5%.

Fairbanks LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.25% income tax, effective January 1, 2017, for 5 years. The total tax rate will remain 1%.

Greenview LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.5% income tax, effective January 1, 2017, for 5 years. The total tax rate will remain 1%.

Lancaster CSD voters have approved the renewal of a 1.5% income tax, effective January 1, 2017. The total tax rate will remain 1.5%.

Mechanicsburg ESD voters have approved the renewal of a 1% income tax, effective January 1, 2017, for 10 years. The total tax rate will remain 1.5%.

New Lebanon LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.5% income tax, effective January 1, 2017, for five years. The total tax rate will remain 1.25%.

New Riegel LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax, effective January 1, 2017, for five years. The total tax rate will remain 1.5%.

Pandora-Gilboa LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 1% income tax, effective January 1, 2017, for five years. The total tax rate will remain 1.75%.

Stryker voters have passed the continuation of a 0.5% income tax, beginning January 1, 2017. The total tax rate will remain 1.5%.

Wayne Trace LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax, effective January 1, 2017, for five years. The total tax rate will remain 1.25%.
