Ohio local tax rates: November election results

Discussed below are the uncertified results of the recent Ohio elections on city and school district income tax issues. The results below are the preliminary results. In cases where the results are very close, a recount is possible after the results are certified in the coming weeks. THESE RESULTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Ohio cities:

Ada Village voters have passed the continuation of a 0.15% income tax, beginning January 1, 2015, for 20 years.

Athens City voters have passed an additional 0.10% income tax, beginning January 1, 2016, for 20 years. The total rate for 2016 will be 1.75%.

Edgerton Village voters have passed an additional 0.75% of income taxes, beginning January 1, 2015. The total tax rate will be 1.75%.

Fairborn City voters have passed the continuation of two 0.25% of income taxes, beginning January 1, 2015, for 10 years.

Huber Heights City voters have passed an additional 0.25%, beginning January 1, 2015, for 10 years. The total rate will be 2.25%.

Leipsic Village voters have passed the continuation of a 0.50%, beginning January 1, 2016, for 10 years.

Lithopolis Village voters have passed an additional 0.50% income tax, beginning January 1, 2015, for 5 years. The total tax rate will be 1.5%.

Minerva Park voters have passed an additional 1% income tax, effective January 1, 2015. The total tax rate will be 2%.

Mt. Healthy City voters have passed an additional 0.50% income tax, effective January 1, 2015. The total tax rate will be 2%.

New London Village voters have passed the continuation of a 0.50% beginning January 1, 2015, for 4 years.

Obetz City voters have passed an additional 0.50% income tax, effective January 1, 2015. The total tax rate will be 2.5%

Piqua City voters have passed an additional 0.25%, beginning January 1, 2015. The total rate will be 2%.

Port Washington Village voters have passed an additional l 0.50% income tax, beginning January 1, 2015. The total tax rate will be 1.5%.

Rocky River voters have passed an additional 0.50% income tax, beginning January 1, 2015. The total rate will be 2%.

Sandusky City voters have passed an additional 0.25% income tax, beginning January 1, 2015. The total tax rate will be 1.25%.

Sidney City voters have passed an additional l 0.25% income tax, beginning January 1, 2015, for 5 years. The total rate will be 1.75%.

Upper Arlington City voters have passed an additional 0.50% income tax, beginning January 1, 2015. The total rate will be 2.5%

Westerville City voters have passed the continuation of a 0.25% income tax.

Ohio school districts:

Ansonia LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 1% income tax, effective January 1, 2016, for 5 years.

Arcanum Butler LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax, effective January 1, 2016, for 5 years.

Bethel LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax, effective January 1, 2016, for 5 years.

Columbus Grove LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax, effective January 1, 2016, for 5 years.

Covington EVSD voters have approved the renewal of a 1.25% income tax, effective January 1, 2016, for 5 years.

Fort Jennings LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax, effective January 1, 2016, for 5 years.

Ledgemont LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 1.25% income tax, effective January 1, 2016.

Liberty Union LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.50% income tax, effective January 1, 2016.

London CSD voters have approved the renewal of a 1% income tax, effective January 1, 2016, for 5 years.

New Lebanon LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax, effective January 1, 2015, for 5 years.

Northwest LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 1% income tax, effective January 1, 2016 for 5 years.

Springfield LSD voters have approved the renewal of a 1% income tax, effective January 1, 2015, for 5 years.
