Oklahoma issues new exemption certificate

Oklahoma has released a new exemption certificate form due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (P.L. 115-97). The Form is OK-W-4, Oklahoma Tax Commission Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate. Previously, the state used the federal Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate. The personal exemption and standard deduction amounts are: (1) single-$1,000 (exemption), $6,350 (standard deduction ) plus $1,000 for each dependent and (2) married filing jointly-$2,000 (personal exemption), $12,700 (standard deduction) plus $1,000 for each dependent.
