Many workers don’t get stress relief from vacations, survey finds

Vacations are no longer a cure for the stresses of today’s hectic work life, according to a recently released survey conducted by Fierce, Inc., a leadership development and training company. More than 58 percent of respondents to a survey on issues related to Paid Time Off (PTO) indicated that they receive no stress relief from vacations. For details, see ¶2059P.

Residential care for anorexia mandated by California state law

California’s Mental Health Parity Act mandated that an insured receive benefits under her health insurance policy for residential care of anorexia nervosa, a federal appellate panel held, confirming its original decision issued in 2011. For details, see ¶2059Q.

Employers look to expand onsite health centers services, survey finds

As pressure remains strong to keep workers healthy, productive and on the job, a significant number of U.S. employers with onsite health centers are planning to expand the scope of services offered, as well as the audiences eligible to use the centers, in the next 12 months, according to a survey by Towers Watson. Colorado Health Insurance Cooperative, Inc. is newest recipient of CO-OP loan

On July 27, 2012, the Colorado Health Insurance Cooperative, Inc. (CHI) became the newest recipient of a CO-OP loan. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) created Consumer Operated and Oriented Plans, or “”CO-OPs,” which are new types of private nonprofit health insurers designed to offer individuals and small businesses more affordable, consumer-friendly and high quality health insurance options.
