San Francisco minimum wage to increase to $15 by 2018

 

On November 4, 2014, San Francisco voters passed Proposition J, raising the minimum wage to $15.00 by 2018. The San Francisco minimum wage will increase according to the following schedule: $11.05 effective January 1, 2015; $12.25 effective May 1, 2015; $13.00 effective July 1, 2016; $14.00 effective July 1, 2017; $15.00 effective July 1, 2018. After 2018, the minimum wage will increase by an annual cost-of-living increase. (San Francisco Proposition J.; Statement, Office of the Mayor, November 4, 2014.)
